Hortilife QEP Fertilizer Mixing Systems

With modern fertilizer systems, you can efficiently supply just enough nutrients to the crop. Automation of this process ensures higher efficiency and certainty during cultivation and also saves on labour costs.

The basis of the Hortilife QEP fertilizer mixing unit is built entirely according to the customer’s wishes. You can use the mixing unit for direct watering or drip irrigation and fill the silos with a recipe, after which the liquid is pumped to the greenhouse through a simple pump and filter combination. A combination of both options is also possible.
Using a large mixing tank in which the acid has a long time to react, the acidity of the water (which is measured within the mixing unit) will hardly differ from the acidity at the drippers in the greenhouse. The EC is also highly accurate and constant due to the large mixing unit.

The Unimix MX-XS is available in a capacity of 5 m³/hr up to 30 m³/hr. The fertilizer is dosed utilizing a combination of ventures and injection valves and dual EC and pH sensors.

The Unimix XL is available from 20 m³/hr up to 100 m³/hr, with accurate fertilizer injection valves or injection valves, double executed EC and pH sensors on the measuring bed of the mixing tank and a venturi pump for safe and easy filling of the acid tank from jerrycans. The QEP MX-XL is equipped with its own basin pump and an automatically cleaning circulation filter. The filter gives you extra protection against blockages in your drip system.

Future proof irrigation systems

The horticultural sector worldwide faces the challenge of producing more food in an environment where water is becoming increasingly scarce and fertilizers increasingly expensive. More economical and efficient use and reuse of water play an increasingly important role. In addition, maintaining the quality of water and food safety will remain of great importance.
By minimizing the use of water and nutrients, each plant must receive exactly the right amount of water and nutrients.
At Hortilife, we know these challenges and make sure our solutions are future proof.
