Hortilife heating systems in professional greenhouses
Heating & Cooling systemsEnergy-efficient Greenhouse Heating Systems
A fully optimised heating system is one of the most critical components of a successful greenhouse. Growing profitable quality crops starts with a powerful and energy-efficient heating system. In traditional greenhouses, however, energy costs are the most considerable expense. Choosing the right heating system is, therefore, an important choice.
Heating boilers with the highest efficiency
At Hortilife, we work with various boiler systems. Our extensive knowledge and experience in the greenhouse sector ensure that, together with you, we look at all aspects that influence an optimum crop yield. Based on this, we install a heating system that provides optimum heating for your greenhouse and the lowest possible energy bill. So that your greenhouse has the optimum temperature while your energy costs remain as low as possible.
Optimal temperature control
A Hortilife integrated heating system contains more than just a boiler room. Hortilife designs a good layout of your heating distribution system to enable a homogenous temperature promoting the health and growth of your plants and ensuring a higher crop yield. Achieving this yield requires ensuring all areas of your greenhouse have an optimal homogeneous temperature, preventing crop losses and growth differences.
CO2 concentrations
CO2 concentrations in your greenhouse largely determine how optimised your air quality is. Increased carbon dioxide levels increase the production of the crop (up to 25%), improve crop quality and yield, as well as, increase leaf size and leaf thickness.
Nowadays, more and more greenhouse boilers are implemented in combination with a CHPÂ Â Â Â Â Â (Combined Heat Power). This so-called heat power plant gives a higher energy efficiency. The CHP produces heat, electricity and CO2. The CO2 released by combustion, after flue gas cleaning, can be used to increase the yield of the crop by using CO2 tubes into the greenhouse.
